The special issue Connaissances des Arts accompanies you to discover the exhibition presented at the Jacquemart-André Museum, honouring Akseli Gallen-Kallela (1865 - 1931).
Considered one of the greatest Finnish artists at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Akseli Gallen-Kallela was inspired by the nature and mythology of his country, finding his voice in symbolism.
This special issue features an interview with Pierre Curie and Laura Gutman, curators of the exhibition, selected works with commentaries and explanations of the artist's unique life.
