This resin sculpture is the reproduction of the "Young Girl with Turtle doves" executed by the Italian artist, Luigi Pampaloni in 1820. This marble presented in the first room of the museum was bought by Nélie Jacquemart in 1908, thinking of acquiring that of another very famous sculptor..Jean-Baptiste Pigalle! Although its origin is less famous than the collector had hoped, this sculpted group is nevertheless ravishing and had been copied many times.
