Caumont Art Centre collection
This pad of drawing in the square size is illustrated with the original pattern for the central flowerbed of the garden of the Hotel of Caumont. Drawn by Robert de Cotte, architect of the place, this pattern is representative of what we could find in formal gardens very appreciated in the XVIIIth century.
Realized on some paper in the velvety touch, the mechanical impression is raised by touches of hand-made colors.
