Cité de l'Automobile collection
This magnificent necklace created by designer Joâ Grenier is inspired by the lampposts in the masterpiece hall at the Cité de l’Automobile.
The lampposts are modelled after those on the Pont Alexandre III in Paris. Inaugurated during the universal exhibition in 1900, the bridge symbolised the Franco-Russian alliance established in 1891. The bridge’s balustrade is adorned with magnificent bronze and copper sculptures, depicting the Seine nymphs on the upstream façade, and the nymphs of the river Neva, that flows through Saint Petersburg, on the downstream side.
The necklace consists of amethysts, resin and mauve cathedral crystal beads, and red glass beads. It is mounted on string, and closes with a silver-coloured, antique style clasp. A matching bracelet and earrings are also available. Length : 82 cmHandmade, creation by Joâ Grenier, for the Cite de l'AutomobileMade in Quebec, Canada
