''In wine there is truth''
This marble plate is decorated with the dictum ''In Vino Veritas'' from the writings of Pliny the Elder. It is, however, said to date back even further, to the Greek poet Alcaeus. The Roman historian Tacitus tells us that the Germanic tribes drank during their councils, thinking that the effect of alcohol would make them more outspoken.
Dimensions: 10 x 10 cm, cork plate glued to the reverse side.
